Managing your policy online

​It’s important to keep us up-to-date should your personal details or circumstances change. You can do this alongside viewing all of your policy documentation by accessing your account online via Chesnara Life Access. If you were previously registered for the HSBC Life Customer Portal, then your log in credentials will still be valid.

Some reasons you may wish to update your policy details include:

  • If you move to a new address​
  • If you change your name​
  • If you change your bank details for premium payments​
  • If you want to review your cover level – by discussing any questions you may have with our dedicated support team​
  • If you want to place your cover in Trust​

Do you need financial advice?

​There are certain aspects to arranging life protection where you may find help from a financial adviser useful: ​

As part of your wider financial planning – a financial adviser can help you see life protection within the context of your wider plans for the future, including investments and pensions for example.  ​

You already pay fees to a financial adviser – in which case arranging or amending your life protection could be something you ask them to look into for you. ​

As part of your estate planning – placing a life Insurance policy into Trust can raise some questions. Your financial adviser will be able to give you the best guidance.​

If your policy was taken out before 30th January 2026, then to obtain a copy of your Policy Booklet, please log onto the Client Portal to find your documents.​
